Local brings Marketing, Media, and News to Bayfield Area

Bayfield Wis -- On August 4th, 2021, local entrepreneur and award-winning marketer, Curtis DeCora launches 'Explore the Shore', a 100% free online resource for news that highlights Bayfield, Washburn, Red Cliff and Cornucopia.  In March of 2021, DeCora along with three business partners purchased the Winfield Inn and Gardens, a long-time historic lodging facility for vacationers and travelers, alike.  The property was purchased and rebranded as the Lake Superior Lodge.  The concept of local news came about when inquiring with various locals from Bayfield, Washburn, and Red Cliff.  The question was asked, "Do we have a resource for news, announcements, events, announcements, etc.?"  Most local residents stated, "the Chamber of Commerce and the Ashland Daily Press should be doing all of that."  

After careful consideration, DeCora, launched 'Explore the Shore'.  Explore the Shore publishes articles submitted by locals.  The idea is to tell the stories from the local perspective.  While blogging is a great way to share information, it came be difficult for local businesses to get websites to display to travelers, vacationers, and locals alike.  As guests check-in to the Lake Superior Lodge, the first question they ask is, "What is there to do in Bayfield?"  Our staff share with them the restaurants, retail shops, hiking trails, kayaking tour companies, ferry line, and Apostle Islands Cruise Service.  Those are the same exploratory activities mentioned in every single resource on the internet.  

Explore the Shore is a resource that helps share the amenities, history, culture, and experiential activities with travelers that allow them to experience all that the Chequamegon Bay has to offer.  

Washburn, Bayfield, Red Cliff and Cornucopia have gorgeous picturesque Lake Superior views.  The vast amount of adventures one can engage in are truly limitless.  Bayfield
